A unique chocolate with magical flavors, this 64% Cocoa Bittersweet chocolate is made exclusively with the harvest from the Millot Estate in the north of Madagascar, near the river Sambirano. The people of the region have grown cocoa for more than 200 years, and they continue their work by preparing cocoa for Valrhona's Ampamakia in the traditional way. Net wt. 75g/2.62oz per bar.

Close to Lake Maracaibo, a host of villages cling to the fertile land of west Venezuela with its extraordinary variety of flora and fauna. Amidst the fruity scent of mangoes, papayas and plantain bananas, men work the plantation to harvest the best Criollos cocoa beans in Venezuela. A special find… Chocolate bars made from the 2002 harvest of single-origin Chuao cacao. Imagine our delight to find that Valrhona had a limited supply of these bars perfectly stored in their warehouse. Of course, we just had to get these bars so we could provide them to you!

Our Chuao bars (65% cocoa) have been stored in a carefully controlled environment, so while they are past their “best-before” date of December 2003, they are still in excellent condition. The shine is beautiful, the snap is crisp, and the flavor is uniquely Chuao.
