Jean Tobler opened his first store in Bern/Switzerland in 1867.
By 1899, demand for Tobler's chocolate products had risen
to the point that he opened his own chocolate factory.
Nine years later, TOBLERONE is born:
Theodor Tobler
(Jean Tobler's son) and Emil Baumann
(production manager and Tobler's cousin),
developed a unique chocolate: TOBLERONE!
Thereafter, TOBLERONE, with its special recipe,
triangular shape and unmistakable TOBLERONE logo,
became the Swiss chocolate par excellence.
"TOBLERONE" is a word play upon the names "Tobler" and "Torrone,"
the Italian word for honey-almond nougat.
All Toblerone products are certified
Kosher-Dairy
by O-K unless noted otherwise.
