The Grenada Chocolate Company was founded in 1999, producing high quality dark varietal chocolate in Grenada using local cocoa and cocoa butter, with care for the environment and workers. Grenada Chocolate gained Organic certification (USDA Organic) in 2004, and is created in a facility using solar energy, nestled in lush tropical cocoa groves in Grenada's pristine rainforest, where the entire small-batch process of making the chocolate is controlled. The result is personalized attention to the creation of dark chocolate with the finest, most complex and rich flavor possible.

To some on the island, these are known as the "hurricane bars". Why? Hurricanes in the last couple of years damaged the cacao crop on Grenada, making premium organic Grenadian cacao short in supply. So, Grenada Chocolate is now made with a fine blend of Grenadian and Costa Rican organic cacaos. Hopefully, with Mother Nature's cooperation, Grenada will once again have a plentiful supply of organic cacao. In the mean time we can all enjoy these excellent blended bars!

A pure and simple unsweetend cocoa powder made in small batches using a unique low-pressure press, which preserves the true taste of the cocoa beans. Makes an extra-rich, full-bodied hot chocolate. High-fat content (20%-22%).
